The Flowering Maple can be grown outdoors in the summer and is capable of surviving – 5C . Can be grown as a conservatory plant. The common name is derived from their maple-sheaves.
Thompsonii
Has large mottled dark green foliage splashed with creamy yellow variegation with a nice branching habit. It’s a half hardy evergreen shrub.
Flowers are bell shaped and are salmon pink in colour
Final mature height 48-60 inches (4-5ft)
Pinch to control and the heigh and shape or alternatively cut back in the early spring to the desired height.
